Dr Geyer   BSc (Hons), PhD, MBBS (Hons), FRACGP-RG

Dr Geyer moved to the southwest  in 2010, having studied Medicine under the newly established graduate entry programme at UWA.

Prior to this she had worked as a Medical Scientist for 10 years at SCGH, RPH and PMH, performing laboratory tests to identify cancers and genetic diseases in patients, as well as performing research into mesothelioma, breast cancer, bladder cancer and prostate cancer.

Having previously built a straw bale house on a five acre property on the outskirts of Perth, the appeal of moving properly to the country was irresistible.

Having lived and worked for a few years as a GP in the Donnybrook-Balingup Shire, and being aware of the unmet need for a GP in Balingup, Dr Geyer then took the step of setting up her own private practice in the town.

When not consulting in the clinic, Dr Geyer can be found performing her other role as Medical Educator - educating trainee GPs within the southwest region.

Dr Chloe Brown, MD

We are very lucky to have Dr Brown return to the practice after having spent the first half of 2026 completing extended skills training in Palliative Care in Perth. While she was away from us she also got married and has brought her husband back with her to Balingup.

I'm sure everyone here will be glad to see her back!

Nurse Kelly O'Reilly

Kelly has moved into GP practice nursing after many years experience as a hospital and ED nurse, and brings with her a wealth of knowledge.

Kelly has made a tree change and is busy collecting as many animals and birds as she can on their developing rural property.

Tracy Bursill

Tracy, her husband and two boys moved to Donnybrook in 2006.  Tracy has worked as a secretary/receptionist for most of her working life and has worked in legal, Local Government, mining and the waste management industry over the years.  While her children were young she owned and operated her own coffee van business, Whole Lotta Latte, which operated in Donnybrook for 5 years.  Tracy lends an effervescent atmosphere to the reception and waiting room, and is always up for a friendly chat.

Jess Cowan

Jess grew up in Balingup, later settling in Bridgetown and working there as a medical receptionist before having children. Jess and her husband ran a convenience store for 7 years while raising their son and daughter, and love living in a small country town.

Jess returned to work as a medical receptionist in 2016, and joined the team at Balingup Doctors Surgery in 2020.

Jess has 2 extremely cute miniature dachshunds with big personalities called Oscar and Poppy
